Vote Unanimous: We Love the TV
Date: Friday, June 03 @ 01:00:00 PDT Topic: default
I've been meaning to write this bit for months, but I've been preoccupied by Dexter, Shaggy, and Blue. Here's the thing, me and the brothers all like the television... Like it? Heck no, we love it!
That grand and booberous tube's got the Scooby, the Home Movies, and even the girls of both power and puff... I mean Bubbles, I'm talking Blossom and Buttercup. Them big-eyed mock Japanamation girlies are all kinds of tantalizing to me, both on stature and potency. Plus they can fly!
Patrick has long embraced the tube, despite the lack of his own tubby belly. I've been dabbling in television appreciation for quite some time, but now our simple majority has graduated to unanimous... Baby Dominic has joined our sordid rankery!
While both flat and square, this immobile encasing doesn't innately demand any attention, neither steadfast nor transient. Still, the darned thing flashes, blinks and entrances me (us) with images of animated giftitude most appealing.
Did I mention we love the TV? We do.
LEFT - "..." No seriously, that's what we're thinking.
I can't say what it's all about, and thanks in no small part to the perpetual down-dumbing of digital TV I can't even much talk at all. Who needs time with parents, neighbor kids or random playfolk at the park or in the courtyard... I need none of it. We got TiVo, OnDemand and a thousand stations (with merely 30 having anything worth watching).
I know we're under quota but Code Name: Kids Next Door and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends ain't exactly going to watch themselves. Sure, I lose interest and play with random toys before watching them fully, but don't let the cartoon moguls fret it a fig, me and the brothers won't let it be deleted unwatched.
Though I may be distracted, busy, and otherwise preoccupied, I'll scream frantically to let it run. Have you yet discovered this wonderful "television" thing? Gotta go, there's so much to be watched.
* As a quick foot note, I know I've written about how great TV is at least twice before, but this is the piece to tell you it's a unanimous thing now for sure.
