Tourism Reviews in Pre-Review
Posted by Brendan on Tuesday, April 11 @ 02:00:00 PDT

Don`t be shy, go on, take yourself a fine old trip.

In recent times you may have noticed an unprecedented prevalence of vacation review articles, and if you have, you may not be as crazy as you think. We’ve indeed been running reviews of series of reviews with exceptionally high frequency. It’s not that we’re out of material or anything, quite the contrary, we’re about to head out on our latest trip and we feel it’s more important than ever to bring these bits of kibble to light.

This article is designed to be a general overview of all of our trips to interesting and exotic places. I’ve personally logged tens of thousands of frequent fliers miles (though the airlines assert that they don’t count, somehow, beware of this for your own children, ask a million questions in advance if you must,) and I’ve driven (or been driven) that many more as well.

I’ve been through four countries and seen half a dozen zoos, and it’s fresh and new to me every time. Instead of bogging you down with all the tedium of the details, I’ll just use this article as a single source to provide you with all the information you need, region by state by nation, to see where I’m coming from as well as where I’ve been.

Humboldt County, California

A billion years ago I had the chance to travel the northern California coast, and it was truly fantastic, or so I’m told… I mean, seriously, I really don’t remember it. Maybe it’s because it came high on the heels of my trip to China, and maybe it’s just because I was so young. What I do know is that the region has tons and tons of fun stuff to see, and I know that in part because I’ve read all about it, but also because much of what I read was my own testimony on the matter.

Vancouver, British Columbia

I’ll admit, I have almost no concept of time. With this in mind -- yours, not mine -- it should come as no surprise that our trip to Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada, that is) last year, though fun as it was, came and went without fanfare from pleasant, little me. No less, if you’re looking to visit Vancouver, BC with kids in tow, this may be an imperative overview for you, as my own articles about the matter assert that I had a really and truly great time, though I have no memory of it myself.

Washington Coast, Longbeach & Astoria

As hard and long as I work, even I can admit that pretty much my whole life is a non-stop vacation. It’s like they say, find a job you love and you’ll never work another day in your life. But seriously, even though it had been half a lifetime* since my previous vacation, when I learned we were heading out to Longbeach, Washington for a vacation, I was giddy as could be measured, and now you are free to be likewise engiddied, because you get to read all about it.

Seattle, Washington

We recently set out to make our many, assorted travels more easily navigated for the convenience of our readers. Obviously we want to make our gemological nuggets of wisdom as accessible as possible, so we’ve decided to include some of our best and favorite attractions from our own home town of Seattle as well.

Shanghai, China

It seems like a good million odd years ago (and I mean really, really odd years) that I traveled to Shanghai, China with my grand old Daddy-O, but the pictures I’ve recently reviewed from the trip still ring as true to me as they did when I first went there, even though I still assert it was in a previous lifetime.

San Francisco, California

Our trip to the city was a crazified whirlwind of fun and excitement. We never knew there could be so many things to do in one town, and though we did what we could, we barely scratched the surface. See everything from Alcatraz to the Winchester Mansion through our eyes and get a few pointers along the way too.

If you have interest in traveling with junior journalists, or even just your own children, check out these links and the links on those pages to the ultimate articles you may wish to see, read and embrace. They’re all fantastic and they’re all chock full of wisdom like you can’t find anywhere else… specifically ours.
