I May Be Small Boy; Airplane
Posted by Brendan on Wednesday, August 06 @ 09:00:00 PDT

vrooooom, nneeeeyaaarrooooroommm!

I'm no longer confused in my life the way I have been in the past. I now have direction in a way I never have before. So instead of wandering through life, listless and unsure, I can now move forward.

I have become keenly aware that I am either a small boy, or an airplane.

  • If I am a small boy, I look forward to a long life of growing, learning and sharing with friends and family. To someday be my own man. To maybe have a family of my own. And, in a few years or so, growing old. Oh, and I can also look forward to shaving and girls… in that order.

  • If I'm an airplane, I'm going to have to really buckle down and work on my aerodynamics. I'll need to learn to better pressurize my cabin. I can then look forward to a life of dangerous safety warnings, airline bankruptcies and people getting airsick inside me. Sure, I will worry about lazy safety inspectors and drunk maintenance crews, but I promise I will still do my best.
  • Come to think of it, I'm hoping I'm a small boy. Kind of sounds better, don't you think?
