Although he`s smiling like a jack-o-lantern, I can assure you the novelty faded quickly. |
As part of our ongoing commitment to helping parents and children alike determine which are the very best costumes to wear this Halloween holiday season, we welcome you to this, the second installment in our multi-part series dedicated to listing as many of your costume options for the season. Some are supernova hot this season while others are less exciting, and others still are outright terrible, such as the ones outlined in today's review.
We're looking at as many of our options as possible this year, not just letting our elders pigeonhole us into what they think is sufficiently adorable. As such we're pulling out what few stops we'd have previously entertained and pushing whichever envelopes we can steal from the parents' mail thingy to find whatever we can to be different, express ourselves and have the most fun possible.
And this is exactly no such thing. This is one of the hardest half-chortles we've ever had, but after one's breath is caught, the Play-Do Head Demon is pretty well played out, the joke is over, the costume is still absent, and all you're left with is a couple fistfuls of curiously comprised sculpting putty stuck to your head.
Left - Rather than bother you with an undue number of nonsensical costume articles, we're willing to lump some together. Since it's peculiar things on Patrick's head that we're talking about, let's just include this "Literal Egghead" picture and call that good enough. Seriously, it's also not a very interesting costume. You won't get much candy dressing up as some guy with plastic Easter eggs on his head like a crown of... well, whatever it is that it's a crown of.
Don't get me wrong (or right, either way) but the Play-Do Head Demon -- though I'm sure it's very scary to somebody somewhere -- is not really a very thorough costume. There's no special clothes, no concealment of identity, and pretty much just a couple of oddly-shaped, off-color, pseudo-horns stuck haphazardly, if not (a)symmetrically, to your head.
Is he an alien? Is he a monster? I don't know what he thinks he is, but I'll tell you he's not as much of "whatever it is he thinks he is" as he thinks he is, but something less than that.
If you're all about the putty stuck to your head, go a'head* and consider it. If you have hair, this may not be entirely advisable, but whatever people, that's your head we're talking about, not my own.
Stay on the lookout for more Halloween Costume review articles. In the meantime, feel free to look at our previous review.
