Hay is for Horses, Hay Maze for Ponies Tuesday, October 10 @ 02:00:00 PDT We spent a long, fun day at Remlinger Farms last week, and to our amazement, there was so much more to find there than we ever could have expected. Of course, one thing we struggled to find, was our way once we entered the maze of hay, and I don't mean for horses, I mean for ponies like us.

Magma-Laden Lamp Curiously Lava-Lightful Friday, October 06 @ 02:00:00 PDT Last week we heard a ding-dong on the doorbell button and opened it to find no person standing there. It was odd, but not disappointing, because where we expected a guest we found a delivery box and a big brown truck driving away. The box was exciting, opening it was even more fun, but what was inside was the real prize. We got ourselves a Lava Lamp.

Nickelodeon Celebrity Meet-N-Greet Fails Hype Thursday, October 05 @ 02:00:00 PDT I feel a need to extend an apology to the diligent and dedicated media relations staff at the state fair. The review we performed did not run until the gates had closed for the year and I'm sorry about that. With that said, I now await my apology from Nickelodeon for telling us that we should come on certain late dates so we could meet Sponge Bob.

Costume Special Part-5 – Trucker Convoy Wednesday, October 04 @ 02:00:00 PDT In what I'm now is told the fifth in our mutli-part Halloween costume special report series, we've put together a real half-humdinger of a story for you. While this may not represent the most complicated of costumes ala Halloween, it embodies the hyper-minimalist movement and takes a modicum of moxy to model.

Doing 'The Doozy' Fair-ly Exhausting Tuesday, October 03 @ 02:00:00 PDT As I'm told we do every year -- though I have no personal recollection of it -- we loaded up our caravan and headed out to the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup. They call it "The Doozy, and as far as fairs go, it lives up to that name in every way, and I don't just say that because my experience with such things is so very limited. Its attractions aren't just numerous, they're exhaustive.

Costume Special Part-4 – Whole Head Tattoo Guy Thursday, September 28 @ 02:00:00 PDT With still some time between now and Halloween, it's very likely that you're still looking for something that will make a great splash at whatever gala event you choose to attend, even if your idea of fun is just running door to door nabbing up as much candy as you possibly can, like it is for us. Well whatever your fancy, we're committed to helping you look your best by considering all your options, and this installation in our Costume Special series is another example of exactly just that.

Age Restriction Less Enforced than Gravity Wednesday, September 27 @ 02:00:00 PDT A local park near the intersection of Walk and Don't Walk has long been criticized for its age-restriction warnings. There are signs that state in plain gobble-de-gook that the toys and play are only for certain ages, but they aren't enforced. Apparently the law that is still enforced in order to deter us is this one of "gravity" I keep hearing so much about.

Search Engines Do Amazing Work for Us, for Free Thursday, September 21 @ 12:00:00 PDT When this site (and this writer) was in its infancy, one thing we wanted to put in place was a clever system for searching through old articles. We tinkered with an on-site system but it didn't work very well, so we went with the industry leader in searching and sorting; Google. And I must say, if you haven't tried it out, you really should, it works like a charm!

College Fund Update, 2k-ot-6 Wednesday, September 20 @ 23:00:00 PDT We haven't celebrated too many landmarks throughout our history, unless you count every birthday, holiday, change of season or our 300th and 1,000th articles. As part of our informal week of celebration for this 1,000th article, it's time to update the readers on the poor state of our college funding.
