Heat Beaten by Disrobery, Ice Cream Wednesday, June 28 @ 03:00:00 PDT As the summer months roll on the question of how to stay cool heats up. Open windows and spinning fans can help, but as a citizen of the world with more curiosity than fear, I can tell you that the bones in my fingers aren’t the only ones that can be broken by these two methods. There are more ways to chill out.

Fries and Drink Good While Awake, Also Asleep Sunday, June 25 @ 02:00:00 PDT I only heard about the facts behind this article after the fact, but I’m not surprised by them. The truth is perfectly plain; that French fries and juice are really great. They are great when you are awake, and as I now know from seeing my nap time photos, they are just as great if you’re asleep.

Doctor Demands Finger, Patient Gives the Finger Tuesday, June 20 @ 02:00:00 PDT I knew it wasn’t going to be any fun or games when we headed back to my pediatrician. She’s a nice enough lady and all, but she tests my blood, height, weight and patience. I just know there’s got to be an easier way to earn a promo lollipop, so when she took my finger and gave it a jab, I had no choice, so I gave her the finger right back.

Makeshift Goggles Outperform Most Expensive Toys Thursday, June 15 @ 04:00:00 PDT Thanks in part to the generosity of our aunts and grandfolk, we have a wealth of expensive toys in keeping with all but the richest of our peers. I’ve heard it before and I believe it as much now as ever; it really is the little things in life that make it all worthwhile.

Payola Absent from our Cisco Friendly Reviews Thursday, June 08 @ 23:00:00 PDT We always try like mad to balance out our fun and festive reviews of persons, places, things, events and other assorted nouns in reasonable ways, but as of late, we’ve been focusing an awful lot on the city of San Francisco. That’s not what we’ve been fielding emails about, it’s more about the way we’ve reviewed them, so let me just tell you, we aren’t on the take.

One Wonders Where We’ve Been, Question Answered Wednesday, June 07 @ 23:00:00 PDT You may have noticed -- if you’re a loyal fan -- that we took fully four days off last week and there wasn’t any explanation of it until now. You knew we were out of town but you had to also know we were back, so what’s the reason for our unprecedented absence of late?

Aquarium Emboddies `Under the Sea` Despite Absence of Riffy Lobster Monday, June 05 @ 23:00:00 PDT On the San Francisco waterfront is the most grand of trap de la tourist, and it’s called Pier 39. It’s nothing to shy away from, it’s popular for a reason with all its specialty shops, unique eateries and uncommon attractions of interest, but the one that took me in the most was the Aquarium of the Bay.

GoCityKids.com Practically My Itinerary! Monday, May 29 @ 12:00:00 PDT Before we went to San Francisco, and while we’ve been here as well, we’ve relied heavily on the internet and its many fine resources to help us understand where to go. We’ve got our tour books, but we’re basically web folk (having all been born after the online bust era) so we’ve relied more heavily toward online resources, and nothing has done as much for us as GoCityKids.com, and we’re stupidly grateful for it all.

Chinatown Chinariffic, Not Quite Chinese Enough Sunday, May 28 @ 12:00:00 PDT No trip to an historically rich coastal or railway town would be worth it’s weight in fortune cookies, were it not for a quick visit to that town’s Chinatown. San Francisco’s got a pretty good one, I guess, and I’d really dig it if wasn’t for all the white people and rampant speaking of English.

Tech Museum Makes Innovation Seem New Saturday, May 27 @ 12:00:00 PDT We skated in to The Tech Museum, located right in the heart of San Jose, late in the afternoon despite the fact that not one of us had any wheels on our feet. We’re techy folk for sure but we had no idea what this place had in store for us. With all their crazy, technological exhibits, honestly, the whole place made technology and innovation seem new to me; and I’ll be the first to tell you that I ain’t easily impressed.
