'Not Tired' Reporter Still Insists 'Just Resting'
Posted Wednesday, January 10 @ 02:00:00 PST by Dominic
It was a long, ugly day for me. I'll be the first* to admit that I was tired and grouchy, since I had school in the morning, a doctor's appointment after noon, and then had a bit of a sugar crash thereafter. My grouchy disposition had nothing to do with me being tired though and I can prove it, because, after a quick non-napping rest I was in a much better mood. |

Best Thing About Being a Brendan: I'm the Only One
Posted Tuesday, January 09 @ 02:00:00 PST by Brendan
I'm not a terribly selfish person, even though I can acknowledge that I'm the only person in the whole of all that is who actually matters. I recognize that there's a world beyond me, even if only inasmuch as it pertains to my recognition of it. Still, big world and all, the best thing about being a friend of Pooh, indeed, the best thing about being a Brendan is, I'm the only one! |

Newest Playhouse Fun, Dark, a Closet
Posted Monday, January 08 @ 02:00:00 PST by Dominic
We've had a number of different playhouses over time, but we're always on the lookout for a new one. But before we could ask why our steering wheels don't actually steer anything, we found ourselves fender to fender with another cart. |

Park Bench Artistic, Uncomfortable
Posted Thursday, January 04 @ 02:00:00 PST by Brendan
If it's true that children love parks, it's likewise true that I didn't much care for this one. And if neither of those are true, our world has reached a sad new state, but in the State of Washington we've got it pretty good when it comes to public parks, except of course for this one, which was strangely littered with terrifying benches. |

Freedom Ostrich in Final Throes of Outsurgency
Posted Wednesday, January 03 @ 02:00:00 PST by Dominic
November witnessed an uncommon shift in the political climate, I'm told, and with it, the North American Blue Elephant has made it to the endangered species list. Along with it, so may become extinct such misnomers as freedom fries, freedom dressing, freedom braids and freedom kissing, whatever peculiar yuckiness that might mean. |

Pinkeye More Crusty than Rosy
Posted Tuesday, January 02 @ 02:00:00 PST by Brendan
There are many scourges of jovial, reckless youth such as chicken pox, lice, and the forever and ever present rounds of sniffles and flu bugs, but one of the unsung villains of schoolroom transmission is pinkeye. It's less uncomfortable and less common, but still out there, disgusting and embarrassing, and you can take it from me, because I know it all too well. |
